AcroYoga or Therapeutic Flight

Aug 11, 2011

AcroYoga is a relatively new practice that mixes Yoga positions, Thai massage and acrobatics. AcroYoga is a dynamic and easy practice, since it does not require previous experience in any of these disciplines and, in addition, it is fun because it adds interaction with the other and overcoming challenges. The basis of AcroYoga consists of applying asanas from this discipline and combining them with traditional circus acrobatics, focusing on concentration, tranquility and balance. Developed in the United States, this practice has become very popular around the world, since it can be practiced by all kinds of people who meet minimum physical fitness requirements. AcroYoga is normally practiced in pairs, the members of which must complement each other at all times. The bottom person (base) should have enough strength, balance and solidity, while the top person (flyer) should have a lot of balance, flexibility and some basic knowledge of Yoga. In this practice, all the movements are made based on the emotions and the mind, and it allows you to carry out a very stimulating physical activity while sharing your Yoga practice. Dare you also to try an Acroyoga class and surprise yourself with what you are capable of doing! Namaste, Nina
