Being present is giving love

Dec 02, 2011

How many times have you chatted with someone and you have realized that their attitude is not focused on you, that while they talk to you they look at the time, out of the corner of their eyes they glance at the television that is broadcasting the match or is aware of the people passing by. It is an attitude that shows no respect towards the other. Being respectful of others is a trait of evolved consciousness, because it requires being present, but it is not a presence physical, but to be focused on the other letting their voice, their message, the energy they transmit penetrate you, soaking up their gestures and allowing what emerges to reach you. When you are able to surrender to presence, your gestures and your words are in tune with the established tempo, you do not interrupt or rush, you are not waiting for the other to finish to immediately say yours, but you know how to give up immediacy and flow with the rhythm. In short, to respect and be respected, you have to be true, without judging the other or yourself, only giving yourself to the moment is how you can give love and feel loved. To receive presence you have to start by practicing it with yourself, remember that everything that is outside is the reflection of what lives inside you. The practice of yoga and meditation are techniques that will teach you to connect with yourself and stay present; and that presence that you will take wherever you go, is the greatest gift you can give and receive. When you feel good with someone it is because your magnetic field and theirs, being both present, have merged, and the body has relaxed to receive love. "The most important things in our lives are not extraordinary or great. They are the moments when we feel touched by each other." (Jack Kornfield) Irune.
