Naam Yoga, la sanación con sonido

Naam Yoga or sound healing is one of the most powerful techniques that has been used since ancient times. The sanctity of sound is recognized even in the Old Testament and in the Hindu, Greek and Egyptian traditions. The sound represents the spiritual importance in the relationship that the human has with nature, with himself and in the interconnection of everything.

If we go to quantum physics, we will see that everything in the universe has a vibration, the result of the movement of electrons and protons of each atom. In this sense, sound is considered as the first form of energy and the primordial manifestation of the universe.
Assuming that the human body is made up of 70% water and that this element is one of the best conductors of sound, it is clear that communicating with cells through sound will have very clear effects.

Since we are in the fluids of the matrix we are sensitive to vibration, becoming a channel as well as an instrument.
The sound and its pulsations move, penetrate and transform. Sound healing helps unblock and harmonize our energy on a physical, emotional and mental level.

During a Naam Yoga session, also known as a sound bath, participants typically stretch out on a yoga mat, with the support of a yoga cushion o blanket, and simply listen as the expert plays certain instruments and creates sounds in harmony.
Gongs, Tibetan bowls, tuning forks and drums are the commonly used instruments. In the session, you can also do vocal singing exercises, mantras, breathing and visualization.

Among the many benefits of sound healing, we find that:

  • Helps relieve tension, stress and anxiety. Brings calm and higher energy levels.
  • Restores breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure
  • It helps to integrate the two hemispheres of the brain. Gives mental clarity and stimulates intuition and creativity.
  • It activates the body's self-healing power, being able to relieve physical pain and health imbalances.
  • Improves depth of sleep, meditation and dream work.

In a sound bath, communication in our body is established through the sacred language of sound and our cells connect and activate at a deeper level, optimizing the flow of energies in the parts of the body that need it most.
