What is YogaToGive?

October 29, 2016

It is “yoga to give”…we are a group of yoga teachers, schools and practitioners who dedicate a monthly class to others. We see that we live in a world where created differences, attachments, small and large xenophobic acts and separations between people are always more frequent. Our idea is that in reality all this makes you more unhappy. And we believe that in many cases well-being is in giving, detaching and seeing ourselves in the other. Giving to others feels good to us! It is not charity, it is not an obligation or an effort, it is simply a necessary act for all people, such as eating, sleeping or loving. Every YogaToGive class is a moment to become aware of it. yoga-to-give How It Works It's very simple; a teacher gives the class for free, the students make a minimum donation of 7 euros per class and per person and each month we offer 100% of the proceeds to an NGO. Like who? We have collaborated with well-known NGOs such as ProactiveOpenArms, small initiatives such as the project "The footboards" of Territoris Oblidats, an audiovisual group that is giving visibility to the experiences of daily life of women from different neighborhoods of Barcelona, and with causes that are "at risk" of falling into oblivion such as Solidarity Without Borders (Humanitarian aid in the Yemen conflict). In September 2016, thanks to the proceeds, the NGO dream nepal has been able to buy anoraks, quilts and other clothing from 15 girls and boys taken in at the MalaHome orphanage in Kathmandu (Nepal). Everything we do can be seen from our Official facebook page. center-yoga-mats And where and when do you do it? In Barcelona YogaToGive takes place in different spaces. Every first Tuesday of the month, we are at 20:30 in Yoga Space Barcelona (Searched, 7). In Girona it is celebrated every Wednesday from 17.15:18 p.m. to 45:XNUMX p.m. Om Shanti Yoga Girona (Francesc Eiximenis, 8) and in Happy Yoga Center (Bruc, 7) in Barcelona. Every month new teachers and Yoga centers join the initiative, and all schools and teachers who want to join the initiative are very welcome. How can they join? Contacting through our Facebook page! Thank you very much. logo-yogatogive
