Summer is coming to an end, the holidays are coming back and we may have to spend hours sitting on a plane, a train or a car before we get home. These long periods of inactivity locked in a means of transport can bring us physical discomfort. Either affect our blood circulation or create stress. Fortunately, yoga is a great ally for travel.
Perhaps the back is the part of the body where we feel the most discomfort during a trip. Our spine "rebels" against immobility, the space between the vertebrae is compressed and the muscles suffer. To relieve your back, we suggest you try the following:
Seated Spinal Twist: Sit upright on the edge of your seat and cross your right leg over your left. Place your right hand on the right armrest of the seat and your left hand on your right knee. Inhale and gently raise your upper torso, then slowly rotate to the right looking over your right shoulder. Hold the position for at least 8 deep breaths and repeat on the other side.
